Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.
Former twice world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers engaged in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
